Ossogne

2025-11-08
This track in Ossogne had everything that makes an autumn walk worth it: crisp air, low sunlight cutting through the fields, and forests that were fully shifting into warm reds and oranges. The village itself felt quiet and almost frozen in time, with its small church catching the first light of the day.
Once you climb out of the valley, the views open up — rolling farmland, long straight lanes, and wide patches of forest that look almost painted from above. The drone shots show just how varied the landscape is here: open meadows, dense woodland, and scattered old farm buildings built in local stone.

Nothing dramatic, no heavy climbs just steady, peaceful terrain and that typical Condroz feeling of space. Perfect weather too: blue sky, cold sun, and the kind of clarity that makes every colour stand out.
A simple walk, but a surprisingly beautiful one.

The short morning walk, is a simple route, nothing long, but we did a little part right trough the forest worth a small note: during hunting season you need to stay alert. Some parts of the forest were clearly marked, and sticking to the safer sections felt like the right call.

Aside from that, it’s a great little walk. Fresh air, quick elevation changes, and a calm start surrounded by colour and silence. Perfect as a compact morning reset.

If you like to spend the weekend, here's a good suggestion.
